Lab Technician for the Cell Culture Team within Process Science [Denmark]

We are looking for a skilled and experienced technician with hands on experience within upstream lab operations.
As a technician in Process Science, you will be part of a team with focus on transfer of processes directly from customers or our sister sites to small-scale bioreactors (3-5 L scale).
We offer an exciting and challenging job, where you will play an important role in the implementation and running of new processes in the laboratory. As no two customer processes are the same, you will get the chance to run a broad spectrum of cell culture processes from across the world. Apart from this, you will play a major role in the implementation and troubleshooting of new equipment and general maintenance of the laboratory.
About the Department: Process Science
The Drug Substance Process Science organization consists of 4 teams, Cell Culture (Upstream), Purification (Downstream), Tech Transfer and Process Data Analytics. With over 50 persons in the department and with more than 9 nationalities, you will be part of a very dynamic and vibrant international organization.
The cell culture team consists of a dedicated and skilled team of 10 scientists and 4 technicians. And we are still expanding.
About the job:
Your primary tasks will include (but not limited to):
  • Grow and expand mammalian cells in shaker flasks and Wavebags.
  • Set-up and run 5 L bench-top bioreactors (including sampling, analysis etc.).
  • Review and contribute to critical lab documents e.g. protocols, work instructions, SOPs.
  • Implementation of new equipment.
  • Ordering raw materials and consumables for lab operations.
About you
You are a skilled technician who has hands on experience with set-up and operation of bioreactors at the lab scale (either microbial or mammalian). You have a structured way of working, prioritize timelines and thrive working both independently and as part of a team. More importantly, you thrive in an agile working environment with great flexibility in mindset, when it comes to the way you work. You are ready to take up challenges and can handle several tasks at the same time.

Apart from these:
  • You master aseptic technics and have worked routinely with this.
  • You are a team player who thrives in collaboration with colleagues both internally and externally in the team.
  • It is important that you contribute with a good atmosphere and a positive can-do attitude.
  • You understand English, both in speaking and in reading.
Your application
If your qualifications and experience match our needs, and if this has caught your interest, please apply for the position as soon as possible by uploading your CV and application in English.
